Dignity Health-Glendale Memorial Hospital took part in the recent Great Kindness Challenge, a nationwide kindness movement that took place Jan. 23-27. As part of the Great Kindness Challenge, Dr. Antonio Zamorano, a physician at Dignity Health-Glendale Memorial Hospital, hosted a kindness teddy bear clinic, which included age-appropriate preventive health care tips, with the first grade classes at Cerritos Elementary School in Glendale. Students received orange Hello humankindness T-shirts and teddy bears wearing complementary T-shirts as well as health-themed coloring books and crayons.
The event celebrated The Great Kindness Challenge aims to create a culture of kindness in elementary, middle and high schools worldwide – in California, more than 2,000 schools and 1.6 million children participated this year including 188 schools from the Los Angeles, Long Beach, Northridge, Glendale and San Bernardino school districts.
