Valley View Elementary School held its annual Daddy Daughter Dance on Friday, Feb. 3 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the school’s multi-purpose room. The theme for this year’s dance was Spring in Japan. Reflecting the theme, the stage and auditorium were decorated with pink blossoms, paper lanterns and folded fans all under soft pink lights.
The girls arrived wearing beautiful dresses and escorted by their handsomely dressed fathers. After guests signed in, they were able to have a photo taken in front of a Japanese-style partition with pretty parasols for the girls to hold.
Then it was off to the auditorium for a meal before dancing and dessert.
The sixth grade girls, their dads and younger siblings were seated for dinner on the stage as a treat to honor their final year as Valley View students.
Desserts were donated by generous Valley View families guests to enjoy. There was a varied display of cookies, brownies, cupcakes, Rice Krispies treats and cake pops.
The DJ expertly chose the best music for the dads and daughters to dance the night away.
This annual event is sponsored by the PTA.
