This Sunday, March 5, La Cañada Presbyterian Church will be sending out hundreds of volunteers to serve people in need across LA County.

“It’s a great way to join together and put our faith into action in order to impact our local community,” said Rev. Megan Katerjian, outreach pastor at the church and coordinator of the event. “Last year we sent out 398 people. We hope to do the same again this year!”

This year’s projects include child care and games for foster and low-income children, a baby shower for two low-income, formerly homeless mothers, light construction, repairs and community gardening for several after-school and homeless services facilities, serving meals to the homeless, packing relief bags for refugees, and a choir concert at a local retirement home.

“There is truly something for every age and stage of life,” Katerjian said.  “It’s amazing to see how much joy people experience as they serve together across generations. Together, we can have a big impact.”
