The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing.”
Stephen R. Covey
What is your ‘main thing’ in business? Is your main thing to make money, to be successful in business, to meet as many prospective clients as you can? The Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce’s main thing is to promote the civic, economic, industrial, professional and cultural welfare of the Crescenta Valley. We seek to help small businesses in the Crescenta Valley by planning networking mixers and organize events where businesses can have a chance to promote themselves. We distribute publications and articles that encourage citizens of the Crescenta Valley to shop locally and help support local businesses. The chamber can help you with your “main thing.”
If your main thing is to be successful in business and to meet as many prospective clients as you can, then you should join us at our upcoming mixers. The first mixer networking event is the Glendale Business Super Mixer from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 6. This is a semi-annual event in which all chamber and association members in the greater Crescenta Valley including Glendale gather to network in one location. The event will be held at the Oakmont Country Club, 3100 Country Club Drive, in Glendale. Some of these mixers have had over 300 people. Come join us for networking, appetizers and a raffle for gift baskets valued at over $100. The second mixer you should attend is the biggest Crescenta Valley Chamber mixer of the year from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct.14. Caspian Services, Inc. will be hosting our October monthly mixer at their office at 2946 Honolulu Ave. The mixer will be held in the back parking lot and Fatcat DJ will be providing entertainment. Refreshments will be served and raffle prizes given away. Come and network with your business community. On Entrepreneur.com, Dr. Ivan Misner, a New York Times best-selling author says, “Networking your business means you have to be proactive. The core of networking is doing something specific each week that is focused on networking for business growth. Make a plan, focus and be consistent. When you understand exactly what business networking is and step up to the challenge, you’ll find avenues of opportunity that you may have otherwise never discovered, and you will be making an invaluable investment in the steady growth of your business.” Make a plan to make this month your ‘main’ month to focus on your ‘main’ thing. If your main thing is business growth and networking, the Crescenta Valley Chamber has you covered. Stop by and see what we can do for you. Important dates:
