Tour Rosemont Preserve
The community is invited on Saturday, March 25 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Rosemont Preserve for a tour led by Tim Martinez. Enjoy an exploration of the Rosemont Preserve and the native plants that call it home. Martinez will point out the different native plants in the Preserve and talk about which are edible and how they were used as a food source by the Native Americans who lived here before settlers developed the area.
Martinez is a native plant expert and program administrator for the Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy. He has a background in urban planning and a great passion for conservation.
Those who plan on attending should wear closed-toe shoes.
The Preserve is located at the north end of Rosemont Avenue, just past the chain link fence. As street parking is limited, please park at Two Strike Park, 5107 Rosemont Ave. in La Crescenta.
Rain cancels.
