April 1

4400 block of Commonwealth Avenue in La Cañada, a resident reported returning home to find the back gate open. He then noticed that several items in the laundry room had been moved to the floor. The resident called the CV Sheriff’s Station, and deputies responded. The deputies discovered several rooms had been ransacked. There were no signs of forced entry. The residential burglary occurred between 5:45 p.m. and 10 p.m.

1000 Inverness Drive in La Cañada, a resident came home to find several rooms of his residence ransacked. Nothing was reported stolen at the time. The residential burglary occurred between 5:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.

 

March 30

3000 block of Ashwin Drive in La Crescenta, a woman heard a hissing sound coming from outside her apartment building. She investigated and noticed a white T-shirt lying over a copper tube to the condenser of one of the two air conditioning condensers. She went back in to get her son to help and when she returned they discovered the T-shirt was gone and copper piping on both condensers had been crimped and damaged. The woman reported that earlier in February she had plumbing done on those units; however she found the work to not be up to code. She informed the company that she would be using another plumber to finish the job. The first company representative was not in agreement with her decision.

The incident of vandalism occurred at 10:20 p.m.

2400 block of Florencita Avenue in La Crescenta, several items including clothing were stolen from a vehicle. The vehicle burglary occurred overnight.

 

March 29

5200 block of La Cañada Boulevard in La Cañada, a resident received a call from her alarm company telling her they had two separate motion activations inside her home. She thought the motion was from her cat and told the alarm company not to respond. When she arrived home days later she found that a rear window had been shattered and jewelry had been stolen.

The residential burglary occurred between March 29 and April 12.

2500 block of Altura Avenue in Montrose, a package containing a Diaper Genie and children’s books were stolen from the front porch of a home between 11:40 a.m. and 12:20 p.m.

 

March 15

2500 block of Janet Lee Drive in La Crescenta, a resident received a call from a neighbor who reported that he found the rear sliding door to his residence open. The neighbor entered the home but saw nothing out of place. When the resident arrived home later that night he discovered the front door’s window broken and the lock disassembled and lying on the ground. The resident discovered several items stolen including sterling silver plate settings, a miter saw, speakers and other equipment.

The residential burglary occurred between March 15 and March 27.

 

March 28

1200 block of Journeys End Road in La Cañada, a resident returned home to find the storage cabinets in his garage open. Upon entering his home he found several rooms ransacked and noticed the rear sliding glass door of the master bedroom had been shattered. Nothing was reported missing at the time. The residential burglary occurred between March 28 and March 31.

March 26

700 block of Galaxy Heights Drive in La Cañada, pages from a book containing personal passwords and a bank checkbook were stolen from a home between March 6-25.
