Comedy Sportz: Students vs. Faculty

The Crescenta Valley High School Comedy Sportz student team takes on the faculty on Friday night, April 14 at 7 p.m. at the CVHS MacDonald Auditorium. This “gluten-free, farm-to-table” event highlights the quick-thinking comic abilities of the varsity team when it takes on the school faculty.

This is the 14th annual match that shouldn’t be missed. Tickets are $5 for students, $10 for adults.

CVHS MacDonald Auditorium is located at 4400 Ramsdell Ave. in La Crescenta.

 

Valley View Hosts Recycling Event

Valley View Elementary School is having an electronics recycling event on Saturday, April 22 from 9 a.m.t o 2 p.m. and Sunday, April 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Bob Smith Toyota. Items that can be brought in include computers, monitors, televisions, cellphones, cables & wires, laptops, microwaves and printers.

All proceeds benefit Valley View fifth grade Catalina Fund and VV Education Foundation.

Bob Smith Toyota drop off is 3320 Foothill Blvd. in La Crescenta.

 

Media Center Ribbon-cutting

There will be a ribbon-cutting of Valley View’s new media center/computer lab on Thursday, May 11 from 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The new computers and TV screen are up and running and the VV family wants to show their appreciation to those who donated over the past year.
