»Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce “Our Business is Your Business”

You just never know what you’re going to see at the Hometown Country Fair. Last week, we told you about the entertainment on the main stage. Here are some things going on among the exhibitor booths.

The Pasadena Humane Society will have puppies to play with. If you fall in love with one of the furry cuties, they can help you adopt on the spot.

Dress up your own pooch for our dog parade happening at 1:30 p.m. Prizes will be given out. We even have a dog treat sponsor by the name of Linda Knutson Real Estate and Staging Team. Visit their booth (a cool staged living room) and get a free doggie treat.

The Lion’s Club will have a free eye screening station. Come get your eyes tested and receive a print-out to take home.

USC Verdugo Hills Hospital will be offering free blood pressure monitoring and other services, and is our event first aid station.

La Cañada Smiles will offer free toothbrushes and more. Who couldn’t use a new toothbrush?

Wells Fargo is bringing in its classic stagecoach! Come take selfies with the same coach that traveled down Colorado Boulevard during the Rose Parade.

Purchase handmade items such as handcrafted jewelry, ceramic tiles, custom gift cards, customized Origami Owl jewelry, women’s clothing, purses, wallets, backpacks, bobble heads and much, much more.

Get a massage from chiropractor par excellence Dr. Dale Ellwein. Peruse history books and historical photos at the booth of Historical Society of the Crescenta Valley. Buy cute jewelry and T-shirts in support of Friends of Rockhaven.

The YMCA will have face painting and their famous Gaga Pit. Don’t know what that is? Come and find out!

Prom Plus will bring its hamster ball courtesy of LA Partyworks.

Montrose Shopping Park Association will have free tchotchkes and prizes at its booth. So will lots of other exhibitors.

New York Life will be providing free child ID cards with your child’s fingerprint, a valuable resource if anything were to happen to your child.

Have you ever had a Tornado Potato? Trust me, they’re delicious and on sale at the Fair. We’ll also have roasted corn on the cob, Kona Ice shaved ice, Enola’s Kettle Corn and All American Softy ice cream. And of course we’ll be barbecuing Gelsingers’ hamburgers and hotdogs all day long in the main kitchen. Five dollars gets you a burger or dog with fresh fixings from Dream Dinners, a drink and a bag of chips. One dollar of that can go to your favorite school (if you bring in the coupon).

Carnival rides fill the parking lot area and inflatable jumpers and slides are on the grass. We’ll also have a European-style bungee jump! Please keep in mind the amusements on the grass require a different admission ticket than the carnival rides in the parking lot area.

It’s non-stop fun from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 29 at Crescenta Valley Park! Parking is free and plentiful up and down Honolulu and Dunsmore.
