CV Still Undefeated in baseball, Softball

The Crescenta Valley High baseball team improved to 7-0 in the Pacific League after a 3-1 victory over the Burbank Bulldogs at Stengel Field on Tuesday. The Falcons are now an impressive 18-1 overall. They still hold a one-game lead for first place in league over Arcadia and Burroughs, which are both 6-1.

CV plays at Burbank on Friday at 7 p.m.

The CVHS softball team is 15-5-1, and 7-0 in league after beating Hoover 12-2 on Tuesday at Hoover High School. The girls are in first place in league, ahead of Burroughs, which is 6-1. CV plays at Arcadia today a t 3:30 p.m., and then at Pasadena High on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.

The Village Christian baseball team won 5-3 over Campbell Hall in the Mickey McNamee Classic tournament.in tourney on Monday. The Crusaders are 14-3 overall, and in first place in the Olympci League at 7-1. They play Heritage Christian on Saturday at 11 a.m. The game is still part of the tournament, of which the Crusdaers are 3-0. They did lose to Sierra Canyon 3-2 in 11 innings on April 12. It was their first loss in seven games.

Pitcher Trey Reynolds went six innings for the win on Monday. He struck out four batters and walked two. Kenta Harukawa earned the save in relief. The Crusaders banged out 13 hits. Connor Rodrigues went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, Tobias Plotkin was 3-for-3 with an RBI, and designated Hitter Jared Oseguera had two doubles.
