Friends of Boy Scouts Host Breakfast
Coach Jim Harrick and Tyus Edney will be the special guests at the Verdugo Hills Council – Boy Scouts of America Friends of Scouting sports breakfast on Wednesday, May 3 at 7:30 a.m. ABC TV co-anchor David Ono will emcee. The breakfast will be held at the Glen Arden Club in Glendale.
This breakfast raises funds to support the Scouting program in Glendale, Burbank, Eagle Rock, La Crescenta, Montrose and Sunland-Tujunga.

Pizza Wars at CVHS
Crescenta Valley High School Instrumental Music Dept. presents it spring fundraiser – Pizza Wars.
Local pizzerias will compete for the coveted title of best overall pizza. Tickets are $15, which includes pizza, salad and a drink. Come to eat and judge the pizza pies while listening to the award-winning CVHS jazz band.

The battle takes place on Thursday, April 27 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at CV High School, 2900 Community Ave. in La Crescenta.
Valley View Hosts Recycling Event
Valley View Elementary School is having an electronics recycling event on Saturday, April 22 from 9 a.m.t o 2 p.m. and Sunday, April 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Bob Smith Toyota. Items that can be brought in include computers, monitors, televisions, cellphones, cables & wires, laptops, microwaves and printers.
All proceeds benefit Valley View fifth grade Catalina Fund and VV Education Foundation.

Media Center Ribbon-cutting
There will be a ribbon-cutting of Valley View’s new media center/computer lab on Thursday, May 11 from 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The new computers and TV screen are up and running and the VV family wants to show their appreciation to those who donated over the past year.
