Housing Application Donations to Greater Los Angeles VA Healthcare Center
I have been informed that there are a great number of homeless veterans who have been qualified for housing; however, they are needing assistance with the application fees charged with Section 8 housing which range from $25 to $45 per application.
You can help by making donations as per the “Donation process” below. I have been assured that donations in the name of homeless veterans will not be used for other projects unless the need has been fulfilled and you approve the change of use.
Donation process:
• You can refer the donor to Voluntary Service and we will speak directly to the potential donor.
• Inform donors that they can make a check donation via mail it or in person. The check should be payable to: VAGLAHS – GPF 2020 Homeless Veterans Account.
• Donations can be made online with a credit card through the e-donate process at www.gla.med.gov
• Calling the Volunteer Office at (310) 268-4350 and ask to speak directly to Terri Dunham or Sadie Stewart to go over the donation process to get a clear understanding.
Be sure to complete the standard “Donation Form” and enclose it with your check. Mail all checks to Ms. Terry Dunham, Voluntary Services, Mail Code 135, Building 258, Room 124, West Los Angeles VA Healthcare Center, 11301 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90073.
Thanks for helping our Homeless Veterans
Sincerely,
Earl Bouchard, PDDGER
