May 20

4600 block of La Cañada Boulevard in La Cañada, a bag and personal items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

 

May 19

4500 block of Palm Drive in La Cañada, the sliding glass door of a home was shattered and several rooms were ransacked between May 14 and May 19.

 

May 18

900 block of St. Katherine Drive in La Cañada, a glass door was smashed and several pieces of jewelry and two handguns were stolen between 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

 

May 17

5000 block of Princess Anne Road in La Cañada, a resident returned home to find the window in a bathroom in his home had been smashed, several rooms had been ransacked and cash was stolen between May 13 and May 17.

5000 block of Oceanview Boulevard in La Cañada, a resident stated hearing noises from the north side of his home. He looked into the living room and saw a small light coming from the backyard. He witnessed three people running from the backyard to the street out of view at 11:13 p.m.

4500 block of Palm Drive in La Cañada, a resident awoke after hearing noises in the rear of the home. He got out of bed to check on the noises and his wife yelled that she was going to call the sheriffs. The resident heard another bedroom window being pushed open. The resident witnessed three adult males wearing dark clothing running out of the backyard away from the home. He later saw a dark colored sedan drive away at a high rate of speed. The resident found dressers tipped over, closet doors open and clothes thrown on the ground. The incident occurred at 10:24 p.m.

 

May 16

1200 block of Journeys End Drive in La Cañada, a resident returned home to find the living room sliding glass door ajar and the closet next to the front door had been rummaged through. Several rooms had been ransacked and several pieces of jewelry had been stolen between 9 a.m. and noon.

 

May 15

4400 block of Encinas Drive in La Cañada, residents arrived home to find their front door was unlocked and the alarm speaker box had been ripped out of the ceiling. Several drawers in the master bedroom had been opened and the window screen from the bathroom window was on the floor. Nothing was reported stolen. The incident occurred between 7:50 a.m. and 3 p.m.

 

May 9

2300 block of Mountain Avenue in La Crescenta, a bear mural painted on the wall of Mountain Avenue Elementary School was vandalized between 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
