May 24, 1954 – May 20, 2017

Richard Lynn Crane of Tujunga, 62, died May 20. He was born May 24, 1954 in Glendale to Benjamin “Art” and Norma “Jean” Crane. He attended Glendale schools – Montrose and Dunsmore elementary, Clark and Crescenta Valley high school and Glendale College.

He worked as a roofer, and the last 20 years of his career he was with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Dept. He loved all kinds of motorcycle and car racing, deep sea fishing and his dogs. He also loved sushi and making unusual and decorative cakes for his friends.

No matter the weather he wore shorts.

He is survived by his mother, sister, two nephews and many friends. He is also survived by his beloved dog Newman, who was at his side at the end.

His memorial service will be at the La Crescenta Woman’s Club, 4004 La Crescenta Ave., on June 17 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
