Norma Marie Blair passed away after a short illness on June 10. Norma was born on Sept. 17, 1927 in Los Angeles. She was the daughter of Blaz D. Zaich and Frances Marinkovich-Luskar and grew up in Glendale. She was the youngest of seven children.
While growing up, her parents had a house in Hermosa Beach, which explained her lifelong love of the ocean.
Norma graduated from Glendale High School in 1945 where she met her future husband, Bob Blair. They made their home in Glendale. Bob and Norma had six children, 21 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
She was the past president of The Mother’s of Twin Club in Glendale, The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in La Crescenta and The American Legion Auxiliary in La Crescenta. Norma enjoyed reading, playing cards, trips to a casino and holidays with family and friends.
She is survived by her son Brockman Blair (Julie Hazard), daughters Denise Napiwacki (Art), Laurie Snee (Dan), Linda Munoz (Rod), Cheri Smith (Gary Mielke), sister Frances Andrews and her many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Blair and daughter Bobette Knittel (Fred).
Norma will be buried at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills following a private graveside service by her family and priest Francis Benedict.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
