2300 block of Del Mar Road in Montrose, an iPhone holder, coins, dental kit and portable fan were stolen from a locked vehicle overnight.
3900 block of Hampstead Road in La Cañada, a woman reported that a second story window in her home had been shattered and jewelry and a purse were stolen between 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
400 block of Richmond Road in La Cañada, a woman reported as she was walking at 6:50 p.m. westbound on Richmond Road toward Gould Avenue to attend church, a man drove past in a blue car. The car pulled beside her and a “very young, possibly 12- or 13-year-old, child exited out of the passenger seat and grabbed her purse. She did not let go and the boy began pulling her back to the car. During the struggle her keys had fallen from her hands. The boy grabbed them and dangled them in front of her while again attempting to take her purse. She fell to the ground and the suspect let go of the purse and the keys and got back into the car, which fled the area.
The man and the young boy were only described as black. The attempted robbery occurred at 6:50 p.m.
4300 block of La Granada Way in La Cañada, the overpass on the southbound Glendale (2) overpass was vandalized by spray-painted graffiti reported at 12:30 p.m.
June 22
2600 block of Fairway Avenue in Montrose, a man realized that the original bumper and two fog lights were no longer on his Honda. The vehicle had an older bumper. He also found that the air filter box was missing. The equipment was switched between June 22 and June 25.
1300 block of Salisbury Road in La Cañada, riding boots and tiles were stolen from an unlocked vehicle between June 17 and June 22.
1000 block of Vista Del Valle Road in La Cañada, a resident returned home to find the garage door open and someone had entered his home through the interior of the garage. Several rooms had been ransacked and a sliding glass door had been shattered. U.S. currency was reported stolen.
The burglary occurred between 4:45 p.m. and 11 p.m.
Pedestrian bridge over the Foothill (210) Freeway between Curran Street and Verdugo Boulevard in La Cañada, the pedestrian wall was vandalized with graffiti overnight.
4400 block of La Crescenta Avenue in La Crescenta, a parking lot concrete wall was vandalized by spray painted graffiti reported at noon.
June 20
5200 block of Haskell Avenue in La Cañada, someone smashed a vehicle’s rear windshield and dented the area just under the window between 6 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
June 19
1000 block of Fairview Drive in La Cañada, a resident reported that someone had entered his backyard and attempted to open two of the windows to his home by damaging the screens between June 4 and June 19.
