GAMC and White Memorial Medical Center Join LANES

Glendale Adventist Medical Center and White Memorial Medical Center are partnering with Los Angeles Network for Enhanced Services (LANES) to deliver better, more efficient health care to the communities they serve. Through the collaboration, the hospitals executed a contract with LANES to support secure information exchange between hospitals, community-based clinics, and health plans in Los Angeles to support better care coordination – with special emphasis on underserved populations.

Beth Zachary, president of the Southern California Region of Adventist Health, said, “Adventist Health is committed to improving the health of the populations we serve. LANES provides the technical framework to support improved access to information to support high quality cost effective care. We are excited about the opportunity to join this network to further our mission within our communities.”

As a system, Adventist Health has an ambitious strategy to positively transform the health experience and outcomes of all its communities. To be most successful, the system must align local work with organizations such as LANES to achieve the best clarity, efficiency and accountability through shared processes and tools. This journey to align with LANES around a shared goal will better serve communities through better care coordination.

Anish Mahajan, MD, board chair of LANES added, “To enable coordinated and high-quality care for patients in the safety net, doctors and nurses from different clinics and hospitals need easy access to each other’s medical records. LANES health information exchange is a community-based solution that helps integrate care among diverse providers and health plans in Los Angeles County. We are thrilled to welcome Glendale Adventist and White Memorial Medical Centers into LANES.”
