Joseph A. Hud, age 83, passed away Aug. 27 in Montrose.

Joseph Hud was born in Butte, Mont. and has lived in Sunland for the past 50 years. Joseph was a field inspector with the USDA & Calif. Dept. of Agriculture for over 25 years.
He is survived by his wife Helen of Sunland; two daughters, Theresa Ortega and Marianna Crider, both of Helena, Mont.; two sons, Joseph A. of Tucson, Ariz. and Nickolas V. of Atlanta, Ga.; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a sister, Louise Sullivan of Sun Valley, Calif.; and two nephews Daniel and Thomas Sullivan.
Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 1 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Tujunga followed by entombment at Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Crippen Mortuary.
