4500 block of Viro Road in La Cañada, someone spray-painted graffiti on the hood of a vehicle. The graffiti content is considered a hate crime (against women). A witness stated seeing a man, described in his 20s, about 6’ tall and weighing about 220 lbs., near the area between 12:30 a.m. and 2:30 a.m.
3000 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, someone spray-painted graffiti on a wall between 3 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.

100 block of Lamour Drive in La Cañada, someone spray-painted graffiti on the front hood of a van. The graffiti content is considered a hate crime (against women). The incident occurred overnight.
1400 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, the left rear quarter panel of a car was scratched with an unknown object between 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Aug. 18
1000 block of Green Lane in La Cañada, a resident reported finding a briefcase lying on the ground on the side of Rockland Place Road. The property belonged to a resident who discovered that it had been taken from his unlocked vehicle overnight.

5600 block of Pine Glen Road in La Crescenta, a tool, shotgun shells and personal papers were stolen from a locked vehicle overnight.
100 block of Berkshire Place in La Cañada, the rear side door of a vehicle was broken and a jacket and basket were stolen between 7:20 a.m. and 2:43 p.m.
Aug. 14
4200 block of Woodleigh Lane in La Cañada, the lower left rear hatch of a vehicle was vandalized with a dent. The owner believes the damage was done by a bottle that was thrown by a passing car at 3 p.m.
600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a man described as black, 5’10” tall and weighing 220 lbs. entered a store and took two purses. He left the store without attempting to pay at 11:10 a.m.

Angeles Crest Highway in Angeles National Forest, the front passenger window was smashed and a purse was stolen from a vehicle between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

3100 block of Big Tujunga Canyon Road in Tujunga, a resident noticed a vehicle parked on his driveway. He approached the car and told the driver she was trespassing. He asked her to leave. She did but then came back. Once again he asked her to leave and she drove at a high rate of speed up his driveway toward his property. She then turned her vehicle and drove down the driveway. The resident attempted to block her vehicle from leaving so he could keep the driver at the location until sheriff’s deputies arrived, but the driver yelled at him and was able to drive around the barricade to exit the property. The incident occurred at 3 p.m.

2700 block of Sanborn Avenue in La Crescenta, a wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.
2700 block of Paraiso Way in La Crescenta, a driver’s license and credit cards were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

Aug. 7
2700 block of Franklin Street in La Crescenta, shoes and miscellaneous office items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.
2800 block of El Caminito in La Crescenta, prescription glasses, sunglasses, cash, jumper cables and several other personal items were stolen from two locked vehicles parked at the location overnight.

1600 block of Orange Tree Lane in La Cañada, a coin pouch and miscellaneous currency were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.
