BREAKING NEWS: LASD Investigates Death in La Crescenta

Today at about 7:05 a.m., Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 3000 Block of Alabama Street, La Crescenta, regarding an emergency call for a person not breathing.
When deputies arrived at the location, they found a male white adult, 35 years-old, who appeared to be suffering from an apparent overdose of an illicit narcotic substance.

Responding deputies immediately performed Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on the unresponsive male, and deployed Narcan® spray in an attempt to revive him. Paramedics arrived on scene shortly thereafter and took over lifesaving procedures.

Unfortunately, the unresponsive male was pronounced dead at the scene. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office has released the name of the victim as Blake Heron.

The cause of death will be made by The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.
