It was a gathering of the finest folks – at least those considered as such by readers of Crescenta Valley Weekly.

The occasion was the annual Finest party hosted by Crescenta Valley Weekly and held at Deukmejian Park to honor those chosen as the best in a variety of categories. It took several weeks to tally the more than 9,000 votes that were submitted by CV Weekly readers, but in the end it was worth it. Nearly 160 guests attended the late afternoon event that culminated with a glance to the west where eyes turned to see the finest sunset view.

In addition to the CV Weekly staff that oversaw every detail, it was due to the talents of Franks Famous that catered the event, Bonners Party Rentals that transformed the park into a party paradise, the CV High School jazz ensemble that entertained attendees, CV Flower Mart that decorated the tables, photographers Dick Clubb and Leonard Coutin who chronicled the party for posterity, and numerous others who made sure the celebration went off without a hitch.
