Dunsmore Takes Part in Special Event

Principal Karen Stegman crossed Dunsmore Avenue with walkers in tow.

Dunsmore celebrated Walk to School Day on Oct. 4 by wearing pink and honoring breast cancer awareness at the same time. Principal Karen Stegman, district official Stephen Dickinson and Glendale Police Officer Cole met students in the morning at the Dunsmore Park bridge. Teachers, students and the community showed their spirit by meeting at designated corners near the school and walking together to Dunsmore. They were greeted by PTA members who passed out water, treats and bracelets to all participants. Another successful “Walktober” for the Hilltoppers as they celebrated the benefits of walking.
