On Saturday, Oct. 7 some of the MTC Taekwondo students competed in the U.S. Junior Taekwondo Championship. Children ranging from 5 to 16 years old competed in sparring and their poomsae (form) with schools all around Southern California.

The MTC students received 12 gold medals, 10 silver medals and six bronze medals for form and sparring.

The competitors included Ethan Eng, Arya Namazie, Keon Namazie, Elliot Jang, Matthew Jang, Max Terzian, Morgan Hechanova, Gunnar Sumner, Kaden Sumner, Jushua McHaney, Jeremiah McHaney, Joseph Lee, Marc Novoa, Cody Lee, Samuel Kim, Aiden Wong, Anikka Hernandez, Nico Hernandez, Seojin Ahn, Alexys Ortiz-Luis, Alexandra Kucherenko and Chloe Chung.
