The Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station Volunteers Rummage Sale was a success, said Deputy Jorge Valdivia.
Although the total has yet to be tallied Valdivia said the sales were better than expected.
The sale began at 7 a.m. last Saturday and had a line of shoppers that stretched a block up the sidewalk along Briggs Avenue hours before the doors opened.
Everything from tools to bicycles and kitchenware to clothing were available at reasonable prices for treasure hunters. Community members donated the items and the money made from the sale will go to support the
Crescenta Valley Sheriff Station. The volunteers at the station sponsor the rummage sale. They gather the items, clean and
repair and price them. The rummage sale has been a tradition for 11 years and the main fundraiser for the volunteers.
This year some of the money raised will go toward buying the station training equipment.
