The Lincoln PTA held its annual Reflections art ceremony on Oct. 26 in the Lincoln auditorium. The ceremony recognized the school’s student artists who participated in this year’s program. First grade teacher Nicolas James was the Reflections chair and master of ceremonies for the event. Student Council members Avalon Burzynski, Nicholas Dermovsesian and Jimmy Spears served cookies and apple cider to the guests and awarded all the participants during the ceremony.
The Reflections program is a way for students to explore and learn about various art forms. Creating art is a valuable learning process that challenges students to use their critical thinking skills as well as their creative talents to create art that supports a specific theme. This year’s theme was “Within Reach.”
