Storefront Remains Closed

The location of 2325 Honolulu Ave. – Montrose Bakery – had been a community favorite for decades. After owner Henry Baeza retired in 2015, the restaurant was transformed into Cafe Rose. That restaurant served the community for just a short time before its windows were covered with white butcher’s paper and the doors were closed and locked. A small piece of paper affixed to the front door stated that the Pink Pig was coming soon. The restaurant’s owner has been busy with construction and remodeling lately.

Permits from the City of Glendale have been issued for construction including plumbing and electric. At this point their permits are in place, according to a city official.
