Girl Scouts Host Tree Lighting
Join La Cañada Flintridge Girl Scout troops to kick off the holiday season at the 22nd annual Christmas tree lighting on Dec. 6 at Glenola Park. The event will run from 6:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
La Cañada Mayor Michael Davitt will be on hand to emcee the event, which includes 15 Girl Scout troops singing Christmas carols, plus there will be hot cider and cookies, and a canned/nonperishable food drive to benefit the Friends In Deed Food Pantry in Pasadena.
This year’s event is sponsored by La Cañada Girl Scouts troop 6431, Friends of Glenola Park, and the La Cañada Noon Kiwanis Club.
The Girl Scouts advise folks to dress warmly as the nighttime temperatures will dip into the low 50s.
Glenola Park is located at the intersection of Angeles Crest Highway and Vista Del Valle Lane in La Cañada Flintridge.
