Mobile BIS shares technology solutions with local businesses at Expo

Mobile BIS and BIS Computer Solutions, Inc., national leaders in mobile technology solutions, attended the annual Foothills Community Business Expo. It was an opportunity to share with local businesses how the latest technology solutions meet today’s business challenges, and for Mobile BIS President Michael Macho it was an important event to participate in.
“We enjoy connecting with local businesses in our community, to share new technology because hardware and software solutions can dramatically improve their business speed and efficiency of operations,” Macho said. “We discussed varied and important topics including disaster recovery, virus protection for computer networks, and application design for mobile devices and smart phones.”
Macho believes disaster recovery is especially important for businesses in today’s marketplace as it provides constantly updated, off-site mirrored back ups of an entire business operation.
“A proper disaster recovery plan ensures that your business information is intact no matter what happens to your system,” said Macho. “It’s insurance for your information, and at the end of the day, it’s peace of mind.” Macho often sees the need for disaster recovery plans in the advent of labor changeover and scheduling conflicts. “If your IT personnel is for some reason unavailable, it’s important to have backup people you can call and not have all of your eggs in one basket.”
The annual Foothills Community Business Expo is a tri-chamber event sponsored by the Crescenta Valley, La Cañada Flintridge and Montrose-Verdugo City chambers of commerce and is co-sponsored by Verdugo Hills Hospital.
