Feb. 15, 1926 – Nov. 21, 2017

Molly Louise (Kellegrew) Powers was born in Duluth, Minnesota on Feb. 15, 1926. She grew up in Salina, Kansas until moving to Glendale at age 17. She graduated from Hoover High School and Glendale College and was studying nursing in San Francisco when she met and married John F. Powers (1917-2003), an officer in the U.S. Air Force. The couple moved to La Crescenta in 1960.

Molly was a member of St. James/Holy Redeemer Catholic Church where she attended Bible study. She was also active in Women’s Federated Republican Club, Republican Club of the Foothills and T.O.P.S.

Molly is survived by her daughter Mary Louise and sons Patrick, Michael, James and Daniel.

A Mass and reception is planned at Holy Redeemer Church, 2410 Montrose Ave., on Dec. 9 at 10.
