The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office has identified a body discovered on Angeles Crest Highway on Dec. 24 as 21-year-old Raylynn Josephine-Deanne Hernandez. Her city of origin was unknown, said Ed Winter, LA Coroner’s spokesman.
Los Angeles County Sheriff Dept. Homicide Bureau is continuing the investigation into the stabbing death of Hernandez. The victim was discovered Sunday afternoon at about 1:30 p.m. by a hiker who saw the victim on a hillside just off of the Angeles Crest Highway approximately four miles north of La Cañada at mile marker 30.45.
The victim, who appeared to be suffering from multiple stab wounds, was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:23 p.m., Winter said. The victim appeared to have been dumped off a steep hillside just off the road.
The autopsy is pending.
