Welcome, Sylvan Learning

The Chamber would like to welcome Karen Haworth from Sylvan Learning. Karen moved to the La Crescenta area about a year ago. Karen plans to get involved with the community in various ways. She wants to reach out and let people know about Sylvan Learning and what they have to offer.

The Sylvan Method begins with personalized tutoring. This is perfect if your child’s grades and scores aren’t where they should be. Their caring experts evaluate your child’s abilities in oral reading, writing and basic math operations. They will explore your child’s habits and attitudes toward school, which can affect performance. It’s all about getting the child where they need to be to reach their educational goals.

After your student reaches their grade level they can continue their advancement to the next level and beyond. Academic coaching is for kids who need an added challenge or practice with homework, tests or harder workloads. If your student is on the fast track and needs support with advanced subjects, homework and/or PSAT/SAT/ACT test prep, Sylvan can help with that, too. They have enrichment, college prep and career readiness programs to set your student up for a great future.
