David and Dena Blood of La Crescenta announced the marriage of their son John Blood to Madison Hyland of Sandy, Utah on Dec. 29. Johnny and Maddie were sealed for time and eternity in the Salt Lake City temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After a honeymoon in Los Cabos, Mexico, the happy couple will return to Brigham Young University (where they met) and will continue their studies in pre-law and family sciences, respectively.

A California reception for the 2014 CVHS graduate and his bride will be held Saturday, Jan. 13.
