Girls Basketball

With a home win over Burbank on Tuesday, the Crescenta Valley High Lady Falcons’ basketball team won at least a share of their second straight Pacific League championship. The Falcons’ 51-35 victory over the Bulldogs pushed their record to 20-6 overall, 11-2 in league. Glendale sits in second place, but if the Falcons win tonight at Arcadia, they will claim an outright title. CV won league last year. In 2016, it did not win League, but rolled in the playoffs and claimed its first ever CIF championship.

Georgina Kregorian scored 17 points for the Falcons, while point guard Rachel Dayag put in 12 points.

Tip-off for tonight’s game at Arcadia High is set for 5:30 p.m.

Boys Basketball

The CV boys’ basketball team lost on Tuesday at Burbank High, 81-67. The Falcons are 14-12 overall, 7-6 in league. They are in third place, and can claim that spot outright if they beat Arcadia on the road tonight in the regular season finale. If they lose, Arcadia would tie CV for third place.

The Falcons did have a successful senior night last Friday vs. Burroughs. They walloped Burroughs, 73-48, as all seniors were able to see action, and all of them scored. Those seniors are Arman Pezeshkian, Chris Arzoumanian, Noah Domingo, Kevin Park, Edrick Rostomian, Edgmin Rostomian, Garen Kejejian and Austin Novak.
