Tax Season is in Full Swing

The CV Chamber of Commerce mixer in January was a terrific success! Although we don’t usually have a mixer in January, we made an exception. The Accountancy, formerly known as Sadd Velasquez Higashi Shamma, wanted to host a mixer at their office located at 330 S. Brand Blvd., Ste. 200 in Glendale. The reason? To introduce their new brand. Prior to this, they had two separate locations and decided to come together as one firm now known as The Accountancy.
All the partners were present: Sadd, Velasquez, Higashi and Shamma. Mike and Mercy Velasquez greeted everyone at the door. Mike took center stage and spoke about the company and introduced his partners and staff.
Mike went on to say that they combined their staff and streamlined their operations in a more sensible organizational structure to deliver a better customer service experience for their clients. The partners and staff have significant credentials, education and experience. Combined, they have a very impressive lineup that can efficiently deliver the service needs of all their clients. Who would have known that among all of them they speak 14 different languages!
Since the topic is tax, it seems appropriate to introduce our new member, Centric Financial Services. CFS is an independent financial planning firm, assisting business and individuals by creating custom strategies and insurance solutions. Del and Laura Londono started Centric Financial Services in 2010. They have lived in La Crescenta over 20 years.
“I joined the Chamber,” said Laura, “because I wanted to meet other business owners and professionals in the area.”

Well, an article from the Chamber wouldn’t be complete without mentioning some worthwhile upcoming events. This year’s Smart-A-Thon will be held at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital on Wednesday, March 7. For those of you who love bingo, the chamber’s BINGO Night is scheduled for Saturday, March 24 also at USC VHH. Hope to see you there!
