PHAT Energy offering solar info tours

L

a Crescenta-based solar power company PHAT Energy is joining the non-profit American Solar Energy Society (ASES) and hundreds of solar specialists and grassroots organizations throughout America to collectively showcase more than 5,000 solar-powered homes, schools and businesses, including the Pasadena Foothills region and across North America, for the 15th Annual National Solar Tour, the world’s largest grassroots solar event.

The event is being held this Saturday, Oct. 2 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. PHAT Energy is organizing four open backyard tours of different PHATport solar patio structures. One tour is in La Cañada, one in Montrose, and two in Sierra Madre.

The tours are designed to introduce the solar technologies and building methods now being used to drastically reduce monthly energy bills, reduce harmful carbon emissions, and offer rich tax credits and cash incentives. Especially in the local tour, the technology will show how lifestyles and property values can be improved.
