The Community Emergency Response Team – CERT – wound up a week of training with a realistic drill held at St. Luke’s of the Mountains and The Fire House youth center. Volunteers from Rosemont Middle School and Lincoln Elementary School, kids and parents, were made-up for two scenarios, one as victims of a gas explosion and the other as victims of an earthquake. CERT members in training had their training put to the test as the victims/actors screamed, cried and performed as if they were actually injured.
The drill ends the training, which prepares new members to be ready for any type of emergency.
