For the third year, the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce is hosting a bingo event. This year the event will be held at the USC Verdugo Hills Hospital on March 24. The doors open at 4:30 p.m. with the first game beginning at 5:30 p.m. Admission is $15, which includes four cards for 10 games and a dauber (an ink marker for the card).

The event is unassigned seating, so it is first come first seat, said Calvin “Kaipo” Chock, president of the CVCOC.

The event is a fundraiser for the chamber.

“The funds will go to local schools, charities and the CV Chamber’s general fund,” Chock said.

Bingo games are popular events in the Crescenta Valley and a great fundraiser for many different organizations. The American Legion Post 288 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1614 have hosted their event for six years, the CV High School JROTC has its bingo fundraiser and next month, on April 28, CVHS Prom Plus will be hosting a bingo fundraiser at the American Legion Hall.

It is a fun way to raise funds while helping the community.
