First grade students in Rain Gibney’s class at Dunsmore Elementary gave a fabulous performance of the play “The Muffin Munchers” based on the book of the same title. The students dressed up as bakers, dragons, villagers, king’s men and even the king himself. The dragons’ plot to steal the delicious muffins baked by the king’s bakers. But they make a deal – the dragons agree to provide the fire to help the bakers bake the muffins, as they have no money to buy more wood. In the end, everyone is happy and they continue to enjoy the muffins throughout the land.

A big thank you is extended to the parents of Rain Gibney’s first graders for helping with the sets and the costumes.
