Monte Vista Elementary School student Audrey Kim, sixth grade, was the grand prize winner in the fourth-sixth grade category of the Glendale Clean and Beautiful Poster Contest. Also placing in the top 15 were Izzy Kim and Edric Kwon.A tree will be planted at Monte Vista in honor of Audrey’s award winning poster.First graders in Nancy Wammack’s class prepared for the May 10 open house. The classroom theme was sea animals!
Jim Cummings, who voices Winnie the Pooh, visited Monte Vista and read aloud to Mr. Stephan’s second grade and Mrs. Nelson’s fourth grade students. The students enjoyed hearing him speak as Winnie the Pooh as well as Tigger and Rabbit!
