Prom Plus Entertains Late into the Night – or Early Morning

Following the Crescenta Valley High School prom, held Saturday night at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles, hundreds of prom-goers headed over to the Crescenta-Cañada YMCA for the second part of the evening: Prom Plus. The annual event is free for prom goers to attend and has a $20 admission price for non-prom attending seniors.

Prom Plus, which typically is held from midnight to 5 a.m., opened a little earlier this year as seniors lined up early outside the entrance, eager to gain admittance.

Though there was a wide variety of food and activities, some were too tired after prom to last until the dawn and found a comfortable chair in which to curl up and fall asleep.

Prom Plus is 100% volunteer-driven. Anyone interested in taking part in Prom Plus and its various annual fundraisers can contact Robin Goldsworthy, Prom Plus president, at robin@cvweekly.com or call (818) 248-2740.
