Four talented authors and illustrators visited Mountain Avenue Elementary School on May 29 to visit children in the classrooms and talk to them about how they write books and discussing how to research a book and the importance of reading. Assistance League of Glendale sponsored the event and gave the school library a copy of each of the author’s books at the end of the day. Discounted copies were available for purchase and the students were able to then have them personalized by the authors.
Assistance League also gave the school library $1,500 to buy books.
