Thousands of auto lovers made their way onto Brand Boulevard on Saturday night to take in more than 330 cars at the City of Glendale’s Cruise Night. Three bands – Whos Next, Motown Magic and Jumping Jack Flash – offered a feast for the ears as well as the eyes.
The annual event is hosted by the City of Glendale in conjunction with Downtown Glendale Association and presented by Glendale Tech Week.
“People liked the variety of bands and loved seeing celebrity judge Kent Mc Cord,” said organizer Patty Betancourt. “[The] second stage DJ had a hula hoops contest and people were dancing in front of both stages. Everyone enjoyed themselves and the weather was good.”
The event was not only family-friendly but also dog friendly with many of the visitors bringing along their furry friends.
Cruise Night started at 5:30 p.m. just as the temperatures began to drop and continued to 10:30 p.m., ending with a six minute fireworks show that lit up the night sky.
