Aug. 9
800 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, an employee heard the motion sensor open at the rear entrance to the business. He saw a Hispanic male enter the store through the back entrance. The suspect grabbed the cash register that was located on the counter near the rear entrance. He ran out with the register.
The incident occurred at 5:50 p.m.

5600 block of Freeman Avenue in La Crescenta, the sunroof of a vehicle was shattered between noon and 5:15 p.m.

2100 block of Sunnybank Drive in La Cañada, a set of keys and cash were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

Aug. 8
1400 Hacienda Drive in La Cañada, a man woke up to find his garage door was open and his Hyundai Elantra was missing. He also found the door that connects his home and garage was also open and several other items, including a television and his wallet, were stolen overnight.

Aug. 6
2500 block of Piedmont Avenue in Montrose, the rear window of a vehicle was shattered between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Aug. 5
800 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a swim bag with swim items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle at 9 p.m.

2100 block of La Cañada Crest Drive in La Cañada, a car seat, stroller, briefcase and clothing were stolen and the interior of a vehicle was ransacked overnight.

Aug. 4
2700 block of Ridgepine Drive in La Crescenta, a resident woke up and found the interior door from his study to the garage was open. His wife and son were both asleep in the home. He went out into the garage and saw his Mercedes-Benz was missing. He went back inside the home and found the keys that were normally on a hook in the hallway were gone. Surveillance footage showed a man entering his home and walking around his study, dining area and kitchen. He then took the keys to the car and jewelry from the home and left.
It appeared the side door to the garage was unlocked. The burglary occurred at 4:50 a.m.

Aug. 3
2700 block of Alabama Street in La Crescenta, the catalytic converter was stolen from a Toyota Prius overnight.
