Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger stopped by to visit with veterans, friends and families at the American Legion Post 288 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1614 in December at one of the free breakfast events the vets host. The veterans offer a free breakfast at the American Legion Hall to the veterans, families and friends the second Saturday of the month. Barger talked to the veterans about a variety of things including their work raising funds to refurbish their Hall’s parking lot.

For more information on how to help the American Legion and VFW with the parking lot contact Lynn McGinnis at mcginnix@aol.com or call the CV Weekly office at (818) 248-2740.
