The Campbell Center (Formerly GAR) to Honor Local Couple

The Campbell Center (formerly GAR) has selected Vince and Toni Beck Espinoza to receive its prestigious Campbell Award of Excellence at the organization’s 24th Annual Derby Day event on May 2. The award, established in 2010 and named in honor of the agency’s founders Phyllis, Jerry and Janice Campbell, is bestowed on those who have had a significant impact not only on the organization but also on the Glendale community at large.

“The choice of the Espinozas for this award is such a natural. For the past several years, this dynamic duo has been one of the top champions of The Campbell Center’s mission – with time, talent and treasure – and what better opportunity than Derby Day to publicly recognize their generosity,” said Lt. Lola Abrahamian, Foundation board president.

Derby Day is The Campbell Center’s signature annual fundraiser and this year will again offer a variety of activities to suit the taste of every guest. Over the years, this event has become the “talk of the town” and the event to attend, see and be seen. More than 400 guests from Glendale and surrounding communities will be in attendance at Pickwick Banquet Center in Burbank to enjoy the day and help raise funds for the organization.

“We are humbled and honored to be recognized by The Campbell Center in this very deeply meaningful way,” said Vince and Toni. “We lend our support to community organizations because it is the right thing to do. This is a philosophy that we not only live by but instill in our children as well. We wholeheartedly believe in the mission of The Campbell Center and if our support is making a positive impact on the organization, that’s an extra bonus.”
