Plaque Installed on Commons’ Bench

Members of American Legion Post 288, VFW Post 1614 and their supporters with family and friends of Roy Allmon gathered at the Crescenta Commons in memory of the veteran.

Members of VFW Post 1614 and American Legion Post 288 gathered at Crescenta Commons, located at Rosemont and Orange avenues, earlier this month to dedicate a plaque installed in memory of Roy Allmon. Allmon served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958 to 1964. Also at the site were members of the Allmon family and supporters of the American Legion and VFW.

The plaque was installed in December on a bench donated to Crescenta Commons by the veteran groups. The plaque joins another dedicated to fallen veteran Jerry Peterson.
