Dignity Health – Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center announced Emily Ryan, MD, as its newly-elected chief of medical staff. Dr. Ryan, a distinguished internist, began her two-year tenure on Jan. 1 and brings to her new role a wealth of experience in both clinical care and leadership. 

Board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Ryan has over 15 years of experience in the medical field. She earned her medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine and her residency from Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. 

She joined Glendale Memorial Hospital’s medical staff in 2012 and most recently served as the hospital’s chief of staff-elect. During her time at Glendale Memorial Hospital, she has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to patient care, medical education and improving health care delivery systems. 

As chief of medical staff, Dr. Ryan will lead and support the medical staff, enhance patient care standards and contribute to the hospital’s continued efforts to provide exceptional health care to the community.
