YMCA of the Foothills Welcomes New Community Health & Wellness Coordinator

The YMCA of the Foothills welcomes Monica Percich as it Community Health & Wellness coordinator to better serve the community. Percich will lead day-to-day operations for the Glendale Healthier Community Coalition (GHCC), which is supported by the YMCA of the Foothills and the YMCA of Glendale. The GHCC serves as a convener, bringing together people, ideas and assets to discuss and play a part in addressing the communities’ most pressing health needs.

“We are thrilled to bring Monica Percich on-board as our Community Health & Wellness coordinator for the YMCA of the Foothills in service to the Glendale Healthier Community Coalition. Monica has years of experience in community building and outreach through the lens of wellbeing,” said Vince Iuculano, CEO at the YMCA of the Foothills. “After gaining guidance from community leaders during our Community Needs Assessment Round Table in October 2022 and our internal work with our board of directors, we are proud to launch this position as part of the larger strategic plan to enrich the lives all of people through Charity, Community and Commerce.”

Percich is a Glendale resident who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in teaching and leading groups and event production, as well as marketing, and has a profound passion for health and wellness. She is a graduate of Michigan State University with a BA in arts and holds a teaching certification through Yoga Alliance. She appreciates and admires Glendale’s rich history and routinely connects with people of all ages and walks of life, especially through the Go Heart Wellness Program she leads through Adventist Health Glendale.

As part of the GHCC Percich will help bring together people, ideas and assets to discuss and play a part in addressing the most pressing needs in Glendale.
