‘Kings & Queens Of Hearts’ Celebrates 19 Years

In honor of National Heart Month, the Heart Center at Glendale Memorial Hospital is planning its annual celebration of overall heart health on Thursday, Feb. 20. The community is invited to this celebration of cardiac patients, their families, cardiologists, cardiac surgeons and the community honors the Kings & Queens of Hearts for 2014. The event will include several free screenings, informative presentations by heart center physicians, as well as low-fat tasty foods. The event will culminate in the crowning of the Kings & Queens of Hearts.

Screenings take place from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; a special presentation on stroke prevention is from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. From 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. is the presentation and crowning of Kings & Queens of Hearts. Dr. Lawrence O’Connor, medical director of the Cardiac Fitness Center, will present his annual “State of the Heart” address.
