Autumn Ashdale from Sunland has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2017 semester at the University of Vermont. Ashdale is majoring in English in the College of Arts & Sciences.
To be named to the dean’s list, students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20% of their class in their respective college or school.
Located in Burlington, Vermont, since 1791, UVM is a top 100 national research university educating 10,513 undergraduate students, 1,542 graduate students, 826 certificate and non-degree students, and 459 M.D. students in the Larner College of Medicine.
Emerson Campbell of La Cañada and Caitlin Smith of Glendale were among 5,500 undergraduates who qualified for the fall 2017 University of Rhode Island dean’s list. To be included on the dean’s list, students must have completed 12 or more credits during a semester for letter grades with at least a 3.30 quality point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 credits with a 3.30 quality point average. The list includes students who have not yet declared their majors as well as those from all of the University’s undergraduate academic colleges.

Naomi Peterson from La Crescenta has been named to the University of Delaware’s dean’s list for the fall 2017 semester.
To meet eligibility requirements for the dean’s list, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.33 or above (on a 4.0 scale) for the semester.
Russell Marki of La Cañada Flintridge has been named to the dean’s list at the University of New Hampshire for earning honors for the fall 2017 semester. Marki is majoring in mechanical engineering.
Students named to the dean’s list have earned recognition during a semester enrolled in a full-time course load (12 or more graded credits). Highest honors are awarded to students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.85 or better out of a possible 4.0. Students with a 3.65 to 3.84 average are awarded high honors and students whose grade point average is 3.5 through 3.64 are awarded honors.

Lee Lois from La Crescenta was named to the Whitworth University provost’s honor roll for the fall semester 2017.
Lois qualified for the academic honor society by maintaining a grade point average of at least 3.75 during the semester.
Located in Spokane, Washington, Whitworth is a private, liberal arts university affiliated with the Presbyterian church. The university, which has an enrollment of nearly 3,000 students, offers more than 100 undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
Niko Leonard-Horwith of La Crescenta earned a place on the dean’s list for the fall 2017 semester at Southern Vermont College. Full-time students who have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.65 and have completed at least 12 credits of graded course work with no incompletes or grades below C at the close of the semester are eligible for placement on the dean’s list.

The University of Wisconsin-Madison named Samantha Gilmore of Glendale, who attends the School of Human Ecology, to the dean’s high honors for the fall semester of the 2017-18 academic year.
Students who achieve at a high level academically are recognized by the dean at the close of each semester. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must complete a minimum of 12 graded degree credits in that semester. Each university school or college sets its own GPA requirements for students to be eligible to receive the distinction.
Lauren Michelle Shilling of La Cañada was named to the University of Alabama’s dean’s list for fall 2017. A total of 12,594 students enrolled during the 2017 fall semester at UA were named to the dean’s list with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the president’s list with an academic record of 4.0 (all A’s). The UA dean’s and president’s lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

Any degree-seeking undergraduate student earning at least 12 academic hours of grade credit in a given semester may be placed on the dean’s list of the college of enrollment if the semester grade point average is in the top 20% of all eligible students in that college. Courses taken under the pass/fail option do not count toward 12 academic hours of grade credit.
In the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, it is the top 20% of COPHS students in each curricular year who are named to the dean’s list.
Viviana Sandoval-Walshwere of Montrose was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2017 semester at Quinnipiac University.
To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 with no grade lower can C. Full-time students must complete at least 14 credits in a semester, with at least 12 credits that have been graded on a letter grade basis to be eligible. Part-time students must complete at least six credits during a semester.
