On Feb. 8, the Sunland Woman’s Club  celebrated its 89th birthday with a luncheon, cake and presentations to two of its members who have been in the Club for the longest time.

President Pat George presented certificates to Eleanor Lamm, an honorary life member with 42 years service, and to Barbara Brenk, with 38 years of service. The Sunland Woman’s Club is active locally with philanthropic donations to the United Methodist Church food bank, Temporary Aid, Verdugo Hills High School scholarship program, and many other causes. Members meet the second Wednesday of the month at Center for Spiritual Living, 4845 Dunsmore Ave. in La Crescenta.
